  • A Basic Template for Modifier items has been made but may need a few adjustments, mainly with the way I tried to setup the categories.

Time for a spring cleaning!

  • As we know, AE have created their own AQW Wiki. But why should they choose to stop there? They could be planning to make an official MQ Wiki too! We are already bad off enough on this specific wiki because of the lack of changes in recent changes! Out of the three unofficial wikis of AE's games, we have the least amount of activity! I've seen activity be dead for amounts of time that shock me! But this can change if we all pitch in! I don't know if people don't choose to edit because they simply don't like MechQuest enough or don't care, but I know there are others out there who would choose to help this suffering wiki. So I ask every caring person out there who loves this wiki, please help us make this one a better one! Just in case AE makes the decision of making an official MQ Wiki.--WingBane
  • Firstly, in case some folks haven't been on much lately, WingBane is our newest sysop. Congratulations :) Yes, this wiki is very outdated, and it isn't getting any better. That doesn't mean we're giving up on it.
I've reworked the To Do list to include a lot of things that need to be done around here. If you have a spare minute or two, please help out with something. *Unfortunately, I won't be on much for the next week or so as I have some unfinished business that's taking up quite a lot of time.* -RavenQueen

  • I've created a new template especially for multi-hit weapons. When you're using it, please make sure you enter the total damage ranges into the template, without dividing it by the number of hits first. Otherwise you won't get the correct numbers.

I know the regular weapon template covers multiple hits, but the damage ranges it comes up with aren't even close to being accurate. We've been needing a template variant like this for a very long time.
(And just as a warning, I'll be making adjustments to it over the next few days. If you see ridiculous-looking numbers in some of the item pages, it's probably my fault.)

  • Sorry for not doing many updates over the past 3 months do to college finals and loss of my job and looking for a new job. I'm back for now I think each of sysops and all editors should take on different projects to slowly update this wiki. I'm going to start with to nights updates and put all new items and quests in as I can.

Spam is bad. No, scratch that, spam is very, VERY bad.

  • Well, that was a long couple of weeks. *looks embarrassed* Sorry.
Anyway, I've been going over everything that happened while I was gone, and I have a few things to say to the rest of the community:
    • Somebody thought it would be funny to create multiple accounts and spam the user pages. If anyone else wants to try the same idea, don't.
    • While I'm glad of any help, please use the correct template when creating new pages, and please make sure you fill out the template, too. Trust me, that's much more help.
    • We have about as much control over MQ as you do over the weather. We can't do a thing about ingame events, except catalogue them when they occur. I'd love to see higher sellbacks too, but this isn't the place to suggest them.
    • Sorry, but this is not a high-quality image. It and others like it will be deleted eventually, and I'd really appreciate it if no other mediocre images were uploaded.

Now that's out of the way, I'd like to thank everyone who contributed over the past few months. There's still a long way to go, but I think we have a good chance at being completely caught up before 2010 rolls around.
Still grumbling about the spam-bots,
